Strange things are afoot here. Someone has already been here. Your seven dwarves showed up in the middle of the summer to find a fortress already dug out but empty of all life. Take care disassembling the cursed stone walls that block passage to useful areas; you may not like what you find.

Western side of the map is Terrifying. All of the rest of the map is Joyous Wilds. The dwarves have a wagon and a small food stockpile, and there's a couple quantum stockpiles of stone inside, but while the fort itself is dug out, you'll need to dig more for ores. Anywhere that isn't under the fort's square profile is safe to dig...relatively.

There are several hostile invaders, in addition to the threat within. Don't get cocky.

Edit: Made the situation slightly less dire at the start, with at least a little food and a depot exit that actually works.
